The Farmer’s Market in Springdale
Published by DanM September 15th, 2007 in Southern Utah Places. Tags: No Tags. It’s Saturday. It’s been a long week. St. George is noisy and crowded. Somewhere out there is some relaxing fun.
Try the Farmer’s Market in Springdale! Get there as soon as they open, however. It’s first come, first served for the best stuff. The picture shows the market just as it was this morning in Springdale. For more details, check their web page at the Town of Springdale web site.
This isn’t Walmart! You won’t be able to sort through three hundred pounds of oranges flown in from Australia. In fact, you won’t find oranges at all. We don’t grow oranges in Color Country and the Springdale Farmer’s Market is all about what we do grow here. Now in it’s second season, it’s a clear winner.
After you sample fresh-picked local produce, you can take the free shuttle up through the park and picnic in the shade of Zion Canyon, or try the shops in Springdale.
