Just wanted to tell those of you who were not able to attend this event (last night at Abravanel Hall in Salt Lake City), it was a fantastic evening! Dr. Jane Goodall related many facts to us and, I hope and feel, inspired her audience. Terry Tempest Williams was eloquent, made me cry, and enlightened us as to the interconnectedness of life. And Philip Bimstein and Red Rock Rondo, all of the members of the group, played music and related stories that told us why saving nature is important. One of the song/stories they performed, "My Little Town," is about Springdale. According to the program, "Red Rock Rondo was recently selected to play a signature role in the upcomint 2009 centennial celebration of Zion National Park, 'A Century of Santuary 1909 - 2009.'"

I was a stellar evening, and I wouldn't have known about it without you and your blog, Dan. Thank you.
