There’s nothing quite like a small town parade! For one thing, you can see your tax dollars, in terms of fire trucks and ambulances, on display. But it’s also great to see your friends and neighbors marching down the street for no good reason other than to break out of the winter doldrums and celebrate spring.

Speaking of being on display, it looks like someone has been inside the house and covered up for quite a few winter months!

St. Pat’s Day Parade in Springdale

The Rockville Ladies Drill team … complete with their husband’s power drills … marched again. It’s always good to see them in their precision performance. And the Pirates of the Virgin came down the street in a big green ship that strangely resembled a farm truck.

It’s a part of America that has largely disappeared in the rest of the country but you can still find it here! You ought to come down and see it on display again for the Fourth of July. I hear that this time, we won’t try to burn down the forest like we did last year.
