Sexy Sarah Shocks the Saintly
It took longer than expected* but the swimsuit video of Governor Palin has finally surfaced. Pretty much as expected, it was published by a second tier tabloid, the New York Daily News (“Get the latest News, Sports and Gossip.”) You can see it here.
Good looking lady, lemmetellya!!
I have absolutely nothing against someone physically attractive being elected. As noted previously, it seems that ‘Ah-nold’ in California is doing a better job than most of his predecessors. And I recall tabloids having a lot of fun with pictures of Obama in the surf at Hawaii. (But he doesn’t begin to compare with Governor Palin in hotness!)
The people who might have difficulty with this are the blue-nosed puritans. A picture of Governor Palin when she was a student in Idaho has also surfaced. She’s wearing a t-shirt with the slogan, “I may be broke, but I’m not flat busted!” Cute!! Watching this one work it’s way through the twists in their thinking should be fun. (If anyone objects, according to the Associated Press, the photo was provided by Governor Palin’s parents.)
Already, however, right-wingers have started to call for Governor Palin to step down from the ticket. (“And then what?” I ask. That would be an interesting development!) Writing in the conservative National Review, nationally syndicated columnist Kathleen Parker wrote just two days ago that it was time for Palin to, “bow out [of the national race] for personal reasons, perhaps because she wants to spend more time with her newborn.”
Parker used to be one of Governor Palin’s strongest supporters. But now she writes, “Palin filibusters. She repeats words, filling space with deadwood. Cut the verbiage and there’s not much content there.”
Ummmmm … not so fast, Kathleen. There are a lot of lies.

*Note: My own comment to my blog dated August 29th, “As soon as the news came across this morning, I spent more than a few minutes searching for a photo of Governor Palin in the swimsuit competition in 1984. I came up gooseeggs. But somebody has them!” That means it took a full month for the media to dig them up!
