February 2009 – Wild Turkeys at the Springdale Fruit Company

If you drive up State Road 9 (the “main street” of Color Country) early enough in the morning, you can almost always see this flock of wild turkeys enjoying the bugs that, in turn, are enjoying last year’s apple crop in the Springdale Fruit Company’s roadside orchard. And then you’ll be early enough to beat the crowd for breakfast in Springdale or Zion Lodge in the canyon! (And the chance to see more wild turkeys on the way up!
