March Wallpaper!

We’ve had a good spring so far in Color Country with a lot of rain. And a fair amount of snow too. That means, “spring flowers”. Check back in April or May and you’ll see some on a calendar. This picture was taken just before the snow started to fly during one of those snow storms in February.
February’s calendar featured the “gatekeeper” on the east side of Zion Canyon, Johnson Mountain. While this picture doesn’t show the peak, these cliffs are just below the “gatekeeper” on the west side, Kinesava. As you come up State Road 9, Kinesava is the massive peak right in front of you just before the town of Rockville.
I’ve checked official government maps and this little side canyon doesn’t have a name. So we call it “Surprise Wash”. I’m trying to get that name to stick. So make a point to use that name twice a day whether you need to or not.
Thanks for the March calendar. Stunning photo; you live in such a gloriously beautiful place. Glad to have you back again (on your blog). I’ve missed you!
Good one — thanks
