October 2009 – Ichabod and Friends

We name everything here. For example, in my work with the Town of Springdale, I’ve discovered that the wash next to us doesn’t really have an official name on maps, so I’m campaigning to have it called, “Surprise Wash”. Some of the notable rocks around my house are named, “Tabula Rasa”, “Chuckalot”, and “Bassey Nose”. And this tree is named, “Ichabod”. A big, strong Juniper near it is “Brom Bones” and a very young little evergreen we planted next to that is “Katrina”. I thought that Ichabod might look nice for Halloween.
