The low angle of the sun reveals the cliffs of Color Country.
Early morning and late afternoon are the best times for the rock cliffs of Color Country. And the full moon just rising over the eastern horizon adds a dramatic touch that touched me enough to make me grab my camera.
another great one — thanks
Was this photo taken from your front porch? If so, I REALLY envy you. If not, I still envy you because I presume it is just a short distance to get to where you took it.
And I thought the view from my condo of Mount Olympus was nice . . . yeah, think again bozo.
Yep. Right from my porch. Most of the shots are.
This is actually a side view of a mountain called “The Watchman”. You see it in other photographs a lot (it’s the mountain in the center of the highway billboard for the Majestic View Lodge – even though that majestic view can’t be seen from the Majestic View – so much for truth in advertising) but the normal view you see is a head-on view from the Park Visitor Center.
