I thought of doing something full of snow that looked cold for January, but the fact that we’re entering into a new decade seemed to me to be simply more significant than anything else. It’s interesting how we silly humans insist on marking everything into segments and parcels and pieces; drawing lines and building barriars. When the birds show up at my house for breakfast, they don’t think about “January 1, 2010″ – They’re focused on the moment. There’s something to be said for that.
